The event will take place in two locations: Osaka (October 7) and Tokyo (October 9). This event has gained a primary role in the promotional landscape dedicated to wine in Japan and continues to be one of the main commercial reference points for industry professionals.

In 2023, Japan's imports of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages reached a value of approximately 530 billion Yen (over 3 billion euros at current exchange rates), marking a 5.3% increase compared to 2022. During the same period, imports from Italy increased in value by 2.2%, amounting to approximately 35 billion Yen, with a market share of 6.5%. Italy ranks fifth among Japan’s beverage suppliers.

Specifically for wines, global imports increased in value by 2.1%, reaching 250 billion Yen. Italian wines accounted for around 30 billion Yen, equivalent to approximately 40,400 kiloliters. Italy, with a 12% market share, is the second largest supplier after France (59.3%).
